“Despite paying higher taxes 7th Parliament MPs are worse off”---Ras Mubarak

Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak has revealed that Members of Parliament in the seventh Parliament are worse off than their colleagues in the sixth Parliament of the fourth Republic. 

According to the Kumbungu lawmaker, in spite of the fact that they pay most of the higher taxes recently, two hundred Ghana (GHC200.00) had been knocked off their salaries.

In an interview he indicated that the reporter of had been reporting from the House for long and knows that when MPs have it trickles down.

 So when you deprive MPs of disposable income you are not only attacking them, but you are attacking people who may one point or the other depend on them for support, “let us not kid ourselves to think that there are not vulnerable people in our society”, he lamented.   

Mr. Ras Mubarak emphasised that there are people who genuinely need help, issues of scholarship, if they cannot satisfy every Ghanaian student in tertiary institutions who need their support, juxtapose what is happing today high cost of leaving. 

Where is the pie and honey the New Patriotic Party (NPP) promise Ghanaians,  are they enjoying that today?
