Didieye withdraws law suit

A National Organizer aspirant of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye  has withdrawn a suit he filed against the party.

The plaintiff was seeking to restrain the party from going ahead with its much anticipated congress on Saturday.

Didieye filed a law suit, after the General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketsia announced a decision by the party’s Electoral Committee to drop him from the race.

The party has upheld the decision by Didiyie to withdraw the case.

Didieye’s decision to withdraw the case was reportedly based on the love of the party and his desire to ensure unity within the party.

No costs were awarded to the Didieye.

With this development, the party can now go ahead with its much anticipated congress slated for December 20, 2014.

The Deputy General Secretary of the party , George Lawson had stated that Affraim Plains North legislator was disqualified because he failed to meet the requirements of the vetting committee.

He had called for sanctions against the Didieye for suing the party.

The party has in the past battled with a number of court injunctions which barred it from holding its constituency elections at the said date.
