Abuga Pele urges delegates to bury differences

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Chaina-Paga Constituency Mr Abuga Pele has appealed to all National Democratic Congress (NDC) party delegates in the region to bury their differences and forge ahead to enable the party to retain power in 2016.

The MP, who gave the advice at the just ended constituency election organised at Chaina, in the Kassena Nankana District of the Upper East Region, told the party delegates that failure to unite would affect the party’s performance in the forthcoming Parliamentary and Presidential elections.

He said as part of measures to help avert the catastrophe, he had mapped out a strategy to bring all the delegates, particularly the aggrieved ones, together to iron out their differences and to work together.

“The Party is bigger than any individual and we should not allow our individual differences to supersede the interest of the party, which has a common goal of retaining power come 2016”, he told the delegates.

Mr James Kojo Kupanamo, who retained his seat as the Constituency Organiser, thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed on him.

He said he would bring everybody on board including the losers to draw up an effective campaign strategy to win new members into the party for more votes in the 2016 elections.

He assured that all the structures in the constituency, as well as the polling stations, which formed the base of winning elections, would be given the capacity to bring good results for the party.

Other executives who won positions in the election include, Mr. Donald Tuumyeridam, Propaganda Secretary, Mr Zotipellba Akobulugu, Deputy Propaganda Secretary, Mr Solomon Abakare, Constituency Organiser, Mr Moses Asera, Treasurer, Mr Solomon Tariti, Deputy Treasurer and Ms Ayamga Martha, Women’s Organizer.

The rest are Ms Gladys Ayega, Deputy Women Organiser, Mr. Tijamba Samson, Youth Organiser and Mr Ayamdor Timothy, Deputy Youth Organiser.

They were sworn into office by the Regional Secretary of the Party, Mr Donatus Akamugre.
