Ahafo Ano South West MP to build morgue for Mankranso hosp.

Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South West, Johnson Kweku Adu is set to build a morgue for the Mankranso government hospital to help in the preservation of corpses in the area.

The entire district is without a mortuary, an unfortunate situation that compels people to embark on unpleasant journey all the way to Kumasi to preserve their corpses.

Speaking to, Hon. Johnson Kweku Adu disclosed that the GHC 50,000 project which will be funded with his share of the NHIA project fund is expected to be completed by March 2014 to serve the residents and hospital administration who are very excited about the project and see the facility as a welcome relief.

He was hopeful that the facility will improve their Internally Generated Funds (IGF) which will help the hospital expand its facilities.

Hon. Johnson Kweku Adu noted that the Mankraso Government Hospital has a challenge in ensuring that patients on admission relax comfortably in the wards, as the health facility is without a children’s ward forcing the children and the adults to share both the female and male wards.

He pledged to secure the necessary funds to build a new children’s ward and expand the maternity ward after the morgue project has been completed.
